Security is gaining more and more attention in the automotive sector. Confronted with restrictions in ECU performance, timings, energy management, reliabilities and others, implementation of security measures is one of the major challenges. In the paper “Lightweight authentication for secure automotive networks”, P.M. proposes a framework to bridge the gap between secure authentication in automotive networks and on the internet. We performed the implementation of the concept on an automotive MCU.
