“Testing of 1 Class 6 Prototype Truck: To complete the assembly of 11 class 6 prototype trucks I was responsible for the project management and managing engineering support, the technicians, parts receiving and storage, the internal logistics, tools and facilities.
I worked on site and supported the build of the first ‘master’ prototype truck assembly at the customers’ facilities. Thereafter I managed the build of the remaining 10 vehicles at our facility. The 10 remaining trucks builds mirrored the different variants and derivatives (wheel bases, options etc.) for the future series production. We handed the trucks over to the customer for sign-off. After a quality check the customer equipped the trucks with testing instruments.
In a second step the customer ask us for support for testing arrangements. I did the supplier sourcing, awarding of the supplier and managed the testing for wind tunnel testing, vehicle dynamics testing, NVH testing, high speed durability test, soot loading durability test, SCR durability test, and EMC testing.”
