Your role at AKKA

I have different roles in AKKA. The first and main one is my day-to-day job as an Experienced Engineer in Project Management for one of our clients, the FN Herstal. In addition to that, I am a core team member of the PM (Project Management) Practice which goals are to train AKKA employees to the PM notions and to support the business. On top of that, I feel proud of being an AKKA ambassador carrying the CLEAR 2022 program values.

Your background

I have a Master’s degree in Engineering from the Ecole des Mines d’Alès (France). After completing my studies, I started to work for the ITER project as a scheduler in the Civil Engineering industry. After 3 years gathering the basic knowledges of Project Management in a PMO office (schedule, cost, risk , scope and contract management), I decided to change sector and evolve in my professional career. That’s when I joined AKKA. I started as a Project Manager assistant in the Defence industry and after 2,5 years as so, I became Project Manager.

Your achievements

When I arrived at AKKA in October 2017, my client experienced a 2 months strike. I took advantage of this period to support AKKA business by answering technical offers and participating in the development of the tools we now know as the wheel of competencies and carrier road map. It was a huge chance for me to get to know better the AKKA staff and be part of great projects!

Then, while working as an assistant for my client, I got the chance to strengthen my knowledge in PM to eventually become the Project Manager responsible for Naval Remote Weapon Stations.

In parallel, I also started to train AKKA employees during evening courses. So far, I have trained over 200 peoples with basic knowledge of PM or Risk and Cost Management.

How do your friends describe you and your spare time?

I believe they would say that I’m the “funny guy”. I love joking, spending quality time with my friends and family, watch a good movie or visit new places. I’m connected to important values like respect and loyalty. They would probably also say I never refuse a good drink and party!

When I’m not working I spend most of my time with my friends and family. Arriving in Belgium meant a lot professionally but also personally speaking. I used to play Touch Rugby in France, so when I arrived here I joined the Belgian Touch Rugby team where I met a lot of great people and my wife. We now live together and just welcomed our newborn little boy, Noé.
