Your role and project in AKKA
I have had the pleasure of working the last 15 years in AKKA’s Automotive practice. Within our Automotive practice I have had the opportunity to work at many of the multinational Automotive OEM’s including Daimler, FCA, Fisker and Nissan.
My current project is an alliance between two multinational OEMs which are sharing the design, sourcing and manufacturing of a global engine. Our small local AKKA team is participating in the Project Management and Change Management activities for this global program. Everyday is exciting given this program’s global reach and multicultural team. There is always something interesting to learn from all the team members across the globe. I think that is the most exciting element of the job.
What was your greatest achievement?
I think my greatest achievement has been evolving, changing and adapting over the last 15 years as the company has evolved here in Detroit. The transition from MBtech to AKKA brought more change. This year with COVID brings new challenges at our client site. Staying flexible and working through these events has been our greatest achievement.
How do your friends describe you and your spare time?
Outside of work I spend my time with my wife and two boys. We love to travel as a family to the many US National Parks. This February, we traveled to Zion National Park in Utah and skied in Park City. I also enjoy playing the many great golf courses here in Michigan and skiing with friends and family.
If you are ever in Detroit stop by and say hello!
