You will work on specific functionalities of the vehicles such as: grain handling, threshing, hydraulic routing, cleaning & harvesting systems, drivelines, residue management systems, feeding, chopping, processing or ejecting and/or general system integration work. You will design components that meet functional performance, quality, reliability, cost and weight objectives.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work in an agile and multidisciplinary environment within product engineering teams
• Guarantee close cooperation and support towards the cross functional teams including design analysis, product validation (field test, lab and prototype shop), value analysis, manufacturing, purchasing and suppliers
• Coordination and communication on regularly basis is key
• Carry out design work on both new developments and current product improvements for performance, durability and cost
• Evaluate, interpret, and summarize functional test data.
• Perform market studies on existing systems
• Be the owner of different subtasks within projects and be responsible for the correct execution, follow up and delivery of those tasks, according to project targets
• Active participation in design reviews, FMEA’s, manufacturing reviews
• Ownership of different subtasks within projects and responsible for the design, correct execution, follow up and final delivery according to targets, in cooperation and communication with the global product engineering organization.

• Bachelor or Masters Degree in Engineering or equal through experience.
• Experience in Product Development environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of functional processes related to vehicles is a plus
• Microsoft packages: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams
• CAD 3D user (Team Center, VisMockup and Creo preferred)
• Technical drawing specifications: ability to apply dimensioning, GD&T, part inspection, gaging, drawing notes, mfg control measures.
• Knowledge on materials and manufacturing technologies as machining, welding and sheetmetal.
• Knowledge of basic Finite Elements Analysis and being able to apply them on designs.
• Root cause analysis and analytical approach to find solutions for specific problems/issues.
• Good understanding and feel for quality and cost from an early phase during design activities. Cooperation with (advanced) manufacturing, purchase, SQE to achieve this.
• Design capabilities with focus on (electro & electrohydraulic) mechanical systems & layouts.
• Communicative & organizational skills.
• Fluent in English and Dutch
