Job description

AKKA is looking for an experienced Development engineer in the field of mechanics, engine & powertrain

who will be responsible for the creation of test concepts for functional and endurance testing of engine / powertrain components and working on our customer’s engine & powertrain projects.

The successful candidate will work directly with our client to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget.

 

Tasks and responsibilities:

·        The creation of test concepts for functional and endurance testing of engine / powertrain components

·        Planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting series of measurements on the testbench and in the vehicle.

·        Carry out / monitor tests (on testbenches and monitoring components in endurance test vehicles)

·        Oversee engine start-ups on the testbenches, analyze errors and failures and ensure successful testing

·        The optimization of the parts, components, and component groups, as well as the implementation of component diagnostics

·        Document results and present them in customer meetings

·        Ability to handle multiple issues and tasks

·        Review Reports and Troubleshoot issues

Profile

Your profile:

·        Successfully completed studies in vehicle technology, mechanical engineering with a focus on combustion engines, vehicle electronics or mechatronics or a comparable training

·        Extensive professional experience in the field of mechanical development for engines

·        Experience with oil pressure regulators, proportional valves, starters, block heaters, actuators for all types of drive including hybrid and electric drives

·        Experience in hardware development of e-drive components such as batteries and e-drives is also desirable

·        Specific know-how in testing combustion engines, transmissions, or hybrid drives

·        Good communication skills, team-oriented, independent, and structured way of working

·        Knowledge of analysis and application tools such as Vector Standalone Manager / Göppelbox / INCA / Diadem

·        Experience with VW / Audi systems: Diagra, VDS, AVL Concerto / Puma, ETKA

·        Written and verbal communication skills in English and/or German
