With a view to strengthening our team, we are looking for an

IT DBA - Database Administrator

The resource will be responsible of the build, installation, configuration, design, migration, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, backup / recovery, security of databases on the cloud and on traditional hosting. A DBA makes sure that data is available to users, and that it's kept secure from unauthorized access or accidental loss or corruption.

Typical activities may include:

• Assisting in database design
• Updating and amending existing databases
• Setting up and testing new database and data handling systems
• Monitoring database efficiency
• Sustaining the security and integrity of data
• Managing issues on complex query definitions that allow data to be extracted

Profile

The ideal candidate have a Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology or similar and at least 3-5 years of experience in the role (IT Database Administrator and Analyst). Patience, meticulous attention to detail, a logical approach to work, ability to prioritize tasks, problem-solving, good organizational / communication and interpersonal skills are required. Knowledge of the English language is required. Geographical mobility is required at national and international level.

Requirements

The following skills are required:

• Database technologies: SQL Server (all versions) or Oracle (all versions)
• Specific skill on Cloud versions (Amazon RDS, Azure) would be greatly appreciated
• Supplemental Database appreciated technologies: PostgreSQL, Mysql
• Specific Certifications on previous technologies are also appreciated
