THE ROLE


We are looking for a passionate individual who is looking to develop their Project Management experience, to join our Consultancy. Managing projects within our Aerospace division and working closely with other Project Managers to support in other divisions when necessary. Acting as a main point of contact for our Engineers and
Customers for any project related activities. You will be working in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to work autonomously.
Opportunity to work remotely, however there will be an expectation to live a commutable distance from our AKKA office based in Bristol, South West.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
• Manage a variety of projects; Time & Material, Work Package or Work Unit projects
• Act as the main project point of contact for colleagues and customers
• Deliver the contractual commitment to cost, schedule and quality
• Manage out of scope requests, budget overspend, delays and workload issues
• Responsible for achieving project margin targets
• Provides inputs to build yearly budget
• Ensure the project on-boarding and release of resources
• Ensure the project is managed in compliance with the internal processes and procedures
• Manage and assess Key Contributing Party (KCP), sub-tiers or contractors
• Collect and report quality KPIs
• Anticipate new customer requirements including implicit requirements, not formally expressed by the customer
• Support business management to identify opportunities for growth
• Analyse and report project/programme data using Excel (functions, formulas, pivot tables, visual basic, macros..), KP (extracts, reporting, allocation...) or any other tool

 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Project Management/ PMO Experience
• Ability to gather and summarise information
• Ability to plan, anticipate and organise activities
• Customer focused and able to communicate in a concise manner across multiple levels of hierarchy
• Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel (formulas, pivot tables, macros) and MS Project
• Ability to take a proactive approach to dealing with day to day tasks-
• Ability to take the lead on your own project
