Manufacturing Process Engineer - Ellesmere Port or Luton based - BiW -  Generous Salary and Benefits package!

Activities will include providing engineering and technical support to design, develop and implement manufacturing production processes to enable the successful launch of new products, ensuring the feasibility of all designs to suit manufacturing build requirements, Design for Assembly (DFA) and alignment to the Bill of Process (BOP).

Body in White (BiW) Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) is a major department responsible for the planning and deployment of all new manufacturing processes and facilities for Body Assembly. It is also responsible for working closely with Product Design to ensure that our products are both feasible and efficient for manufacture. The Department operates at the leading edge of technology using all types of robotics, automation systems, complex jigs/fixtures and many hot and cold joining techniques. For that reason, many of the projects delivered are highly capital-intensive and require careful cost management.

What you will need to succeed:

• Ideally educated to a degree level in Manufacturing or a similar engineering discipline.
• Understanding manufacturing processes, engineering, and other technical information
• Experience of process improvement
• Ability to exercise latitude and technical judgement in deciding work methods
• Ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment
  
• You MUST have managed suppliers in the past and been involved in BiW from a delivery angle.
