Our client is looking at AKKA to support their Product testing and Development of Test Installations for their Heavy Duty transmissions and torque converters for mobile applications.

Your function

• As a “V&V - Test Engineer” you are responsible for the preparation and execution of functional and endurance tests (24/7) of transmissions and components on electrical, hydraulic and diesel test systems. You ensure the progress of the test activities, with an eye for safety and a favorable result for the device under test.
• Analyze the test specifications and define the required test conditions and setups, in respect to the planning and available resources.
• Coordinate and participate in the construction or conversion of the test systems and the instrumentation of the test objects.
• Where necessary, design frames and tools using 3D design software and manage the procurement of the designed parts to realize the test setups.
• Analyze and interpret the test results & observations and build up in-depth knowledge.
• Report and carry out associated administration meticulously and share with the test requestor in accordance with the applicable procedures.
• You will report to the V&V team lead and work with, and on behalf of, engineering and production (national and international), as well as external research centers, universities and customers.

Your profile

• You have a master's degree in electromechanical or automotive engineering.
• Strong interest in vehicle drivetrains, both conventional and hybrid / electrified.
• You are a hands-on and all-round engineer who works analytically, accurately, qualitatively and project-based.
• Takes initiative, acts in a problem-solving & persistent manner and can independently carry out assignments & test projects from concept to completion.
• As a real team player you have strong communication skills.
• You are fluent in English. Dutch is a plus.
• You have some experience with 3D drawing packages. Knowledge of Creo is a plus
• Experience with Matlab is a plus.
• Several years of experience in a similar technical environment is a plus.
