According to IATA, air traffic is expected to double over the next two decades, with some 7.2 billion travelers flying by 2035.
For the aerospace sector in this kind of environment, innovation is crucial, and the margin for error non-existent. Manufacturers have full order books, and the aircraft they produce must be increasingly safe, electric, lightweight, ecological, economical, maintainable and connected. The use of 3D design models that can be shared in real-time is now essential for integrating and interconnecting the various innovations the market now requires. In AKKA’s view, digitized processes are now pivotal for ensuring supply chain reliability, while the shift towards digitized navigation, maintenance and other documentation makes it possible to analyze the vast amounts of data exchanged between aeronautical systems.
We also anticipate that infrastructures will need to adapt to accommodate traffic growth: wider runways, terminals with improved gate and baggage-handling systems ensuring greater productivity. We also expect that autonomous vehicles will be used to inspect planes or transport passengers to their planes some time in the near future. Traffic control and flight plan management systems will also have to use cutting-edge technology which will be internationally standardized and fully capable of safely integrating future innovations. Innovation will also continue apace on-board as airlines look to match the expectations of premium and repeat customers by improving and adding to their connectivity and other services.

AKKA’s Integrated Logistics Support offer aims to support our Customers handle their own supply chain and meet their performance and maintenance objectives. From the Call-for-tender phase to the In-Service life, AKKA rolls out a strategy that targets the right balance between asset utilization and support costs (spares, documentation, tools, etc.).
AKKA provides end-to-end cabin modification solutions (retrofit, upgrade, In-Flight-Entertainment, etc.), from design, development, implementation to certification. Should our clients require kits, AKKA is able to source, store, implement and certify the modification, and delivers the corresponding Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) required by EASA and FAA.
AKKA delivers high value-added services in maintenance engineering and airworthiness activities (FAL follow-up, flight test support, aircraft transaction management, airworthiness management, borescope inspections, etc.), all along the aircraft lifecycle.
