The AKKA Group started operating in the Middle East in August 2010. With 200 skilled and experienced consultants from 24 different nationalities, AKKA Middle East offers the global suite of AKKA services and solutions to clients throughout the region.

As a world-leading consulting and engineering service provider, we are growing our offering of innovative and tailor-made solutions to all of our clients, including major companies operating in the aerospace, defense, automotive, railway, oil & gas, IT and telecoms sectors. Our objective is to be a Middle East leader in engineering & technology consultancy with more than 500 employees in the region by 2020.

Faouzi Abbes

CEO

After having worked for 11 for renowned manufacturers and as entrepreneur, Mr. ABBES joined the “Sales and Operations” Business Unit of AKKA group in 2012 to manage the competency center on process engineering. He integrated the Group entity in China as VP in charge of Automotive sector before being nominated as CEO of the Chinese Business Unit. Since July 2019, Mr. ABBES has been promoted as CEO Asia Middle East and oversees the strategy and development of AKKA Group in the region.

Mehdi Cherif

COO

Mehdi has been working for the AKKA Group for almost seven years. After completing a masters degree in industrial engineering (INP ENSIACET), Mehdi joined AKKA France as a consultant in information systems and then was named Business Manager to develop our information systems activities.

Souad Leghnider

HR Manager

Souad has been working for the AKKA Group for almost two years. After completing a double masters degree in management and business administration in Europe, Souad has had ten years of experience in Human Resources in France, mainly in recruitment, training and staff administration.

Our solutions

Aerospace: AKKA Middle East has delivered projects for the UAE suppliers of Airbus & Boeing to support the development of their capabilities. We support local airlines with our expertise in aircraft entry into service and aircraft modification.

Rail: We have been involved in the Dubai Green Line Metro project, Dubai Marina Tram project, Qatar Lusail tram and Doha Metro projects.

Defense: We have provided consultancy to Emirates and Saudi defense and security projects, and we also support the Emirates military vehicle company.

Key projects

— Dubai Tram

In November 2014, the Dubai Tram was opened as part of the Dubai Transport Network. It runs for 14.5 kilometers and is the first tramway outside Europe powered by a ground-based electric supply system. Eleven AKKA consultants worked on this project, including supervisors, QA/QC engineers, HSE engineers, design installation engineers and project support.

— TPI and B.

AKKA in the Middle East supports Tawazun Precision Industries (TPI) and B. to develop a new surface treatment capability for aluminum aero structure machined parts. Eleven experts from AKKA’s Middle East team support the project with equipment definition, commissioning, technical guidelines, etc.

— Aircraft Entry Into Service

A team of 36 experts supports the entry into service of new A380 and A350 aircraft, delivering worldwide expertise in technical processes, equipment maintenance, engineering solutions and flight operation.
