A wide range of mechanical, systems, digital, software and hardware engineering activities covering the full product life cycle
Originally founded as Aeroconseil in 2010, AKKA provides a UK base for work packages undertaken on behalf of Airbus. In the subsequent eight years, we have grown to employ more than 200 engineers working from two offices and on more than a dozen client sites in the aerospace, defence, rail and automotive industries.
We work both from our own dedicated engineering competence centres in Bristol and Crewe and on client sites.
In the military domain, we have worked hard to deliver the high level of security required. We offer our engineers an interesting and rewarding career where they can choose to work on a wide range of projects in multiple sectors, or where they can specialise in a single discipline and become expert in a specific field.
AKKA UK follows a strategic growth plan through the core engineering functions of Systems Engineering, Structures Engineering, Software, and Digitisation. This growth aims to both complement our customers’ expanding scale, and predict upcoming growth of where the market is heading based upon our own industry predictions, ensuring AKKA is ahead of the demand curve and able to respond to customer requests with active supply.

With our move into the former List X site in Filton 20 in 2017, we began upgrading our facilities, IT networks and processes so that we can handle sensitive data appropriately. This has led to increasing volumes of defence work in recent months alongside acceptance as a supplier to MOD.
